Photo 1 - Not Without Me
I was taking a day class and saw the instructor's jacket on his tripod. It just ran through my head that no matter how good the camera is, it doesn't work. NOT WITHOUT ME! Jacket and were under shade of tree opening into the bright sunshine, helping to isolate the subject even more.
Photograph any object or person using placement and large size to focus attention on your subject. In this picture we want you to do two things to make your subject stand out:
First, place your subject up front so that it is larger than everything else in the frame.
Second, position your subject so that it is off-center in the frame, following the rule of thirds.
Only affiliation with the New York Institute of Photography is that I am a student in the Complete Course in Professional Photography. I highly recommend the institute for your photographic training if you are interesting in taking professional quality photographs, can't get to a regular classroom, and/or want to enroll in the only distance learning school in the top 5 rated photography schools in the USA.
