Unit Five Photo Assignments
In Unit Five you've been introduced to a number of areas of specialization, ranging from fashion photography to photojournalism. In this Photo Project we want to give you an opportunity to spread your wings and try your hand at a few of them.
Don't worry if you don't intend to enter any of these areas of specialization as a profession. By practicing these techniques now, you are training yourself to become a better photographer who can handle the wide variety of different photographic situations you will meet in ordinary life.
For example, just because you may not intend to become a fashion photographer does not mean that you shouldn't know how to take flattering pictures of people wearing beautiful clothing. After all, even in daily life you're going to want to take just such pictures of people you know–perhaps your spouse, a friend, or your child. The same with all other specialties covered here. They all will train you in skills you are going to need some day somewhere.
Try them. They are all challenging...and fun!
Only affiliation with the New York Institute of Photography is that I am a student in the Complete Course in Professional Photography. I highly recommend the institute for your photographic training if you are interesting in taking professional quality photographs, can't get to a regular classroom, and/or want to enroll in the only distance learning school in the top 5 rated photography schools in the USA.
